BIG CITY LIGHTS* will also feature live music and performances, adding to the appeal of the free, family-friendly festival. BIG CITY LIGHTS* is a free festival celebrating urban and digital design, digital culture, music, and light taking place in the heart of Southport CBD. Following an extremely successful pilot program in 2022, BIG CITY LIGHTS* is back in 2024 and will run over three weekends, 21 June – 7 July 2024 (Friday to Sunday, from 5pm to 10pm) with over 30 works across 30 locations. Building facades and laneways in the city’s CBD will be transformed into hypnotic and technicolour displays by leading local and national artists working in installation, video projection and digital design, complimented with live performances.
